It is without doubt that America is a culture of consumerists. This position is hardly excludes the screeds of anti-capitalist leftists; it is a solid hard fact that manifests itself in the daily life in the American nation. The law of demand in economy as we all know, of course, entails that a lower price induces consumers to consume more, under the belief that they are gaining an advantage and thus no harm is done by taking advantage of it. Americans hammer this economics lesson on a daily basis in their lives as they undeniably demonstrate this insatiable appetite for all things cheap, and most of all, all things free.
